Former President Donald Trump is poking fun at one of his primary rivals’ weight.
During an event on Tuesday, Trump ripped former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie for his size.
“No, Christie, he’s eating right now. He can’t be bothered,” the former president said.
He went on, “Sir, please don’t call him a fat pig that’s very disrespectful… See I’m trying to be nice. Don’t call him a fat pig.”
“You can’t do that. So now because you’re not allowed to do that… we’re not going to do that,” he added.

Sir, please do not call him a fat pig…
You're not allowed to do that. Therefore, we're NOT gonna do that." pic.twitter.com/CqiAwkQWyb
Christie, who has become a sharp critic of Trump, responded on Twitter, “If you had the guts you would show up to the debate and say it to my face.”

Yet in a post on Truth Social on Tuesday night, Trump claimed, “I was extremely respectful of Sloppy Chris Christie today in New Hampshire. During a speech in front of a large crowd of Patriots, somebody shouted out that ‘Chris Christie is a fat pig.’”
“Rather than acknowledging that, which many speakers would have done, I said, ‘No, No, he is not a fat pig.’ I’m sure Chris would have been very happy with my defense of him!” he insisted.
In a tweet in June, Christie said he struggled with his weight for 20 years.
However, he added, “What I haven’t struggled with is my character. I’ll put that up against Donald Trump’s any day. If that’s the best he’s got, then he’s lost his fastball.”
