Actor Jamie Foxx praised God following a health scare that put him in the hospital.
On Wednesday, Foxx, 55, took to his Instagram page to express his gratitude to the Lord.
“You’re lookin at a man who is thankful… finally startin to feel like myself… it’s been an unexpected dark journey… but I can see the light… I’m thankful to everyone that reached out and sent well wishes and prayers…,” he wrote.

Fox also said he wanted to thank “a lot of people” who supported him during that difficult time.
“U just don’t know how much it meant… I will be thanking all of you personally… and if you didn’t know… GOD IS GOOD… all day every day…,” he concluded.
Hollywood expressed their support for the actor in the comments.
“I along with the world pray for you regularly you are such a special man such a gift to the world of entertainment. God bless you love, mama Tina,” Tina Lawson, singer Beyonce’s mother wrote.
Actress Octavia Spencer echoed the same sentiments
“Yes He is!!! Glad you’re better,” she shared.
In April, Foxx’s daughter, Corrine, revealed the Academy Award winner “experienced a medical complication” but was “already on his way to recovery” in a now-deleted Instagram post.
“We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers,” the statement continued.
On May 3, Foxx spoke out on his Instagram page for the first time since his medical emergency.

In a follow-up video, posted on July 22, he credited God for his recovery after going “through Hell and back.”
“I’m here on earth because of some great people. I’m here on earth because of God,” Foxx said.
