Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) is putting to rest questions about her political future.
During an event on Friday, Pelosi, 83, shared she will seek another term in the House of Representatives.
“I have decided now that in light of the values of San Francisco, which we have always been proud to promote, I’ve made the decision to seek re-election,” Pelosi said.

In November, Pelosi announced she would step down from leadership. However, she continued to serve in the House.
“There is no greater official honor for me than to stand on this floor and to speak for the people of San Francisco. This I will continue to do as a member of the House speaking for the people of San Francisco, serving the great state of California, and defending the Constitution,” she said in a floor speech announcing the decision, adding, “For me, the hour [has] come for a new generation to lead the Democratic caucus that I so deeply respect.”
