New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers had a rough landing after taking a hit during his Monday night game against the Buffalo Bills and may have torn his Achilles tendon.

The Washington Examiner reported Jets Head Coach Robert Saleh said, “It’s not good.”

This is Rodgers’ first season with the Jets after leaving the Green Bay Packers where he made a name for himself and became an NFL superstar.

Similarly, his mentor, former Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre had become an NFL legend at ‘the Frozen Tundra’ and then ended up moving on to New York to become a Jet for a short stint after coming out of retirement, per Sporting News.

Now Rodgers’s injury is being speculated to take him out for the entire season.

If his Achilles tendon is ruptured, it would take between six and nine months for him to recover from surgery, per the Hospital for Special Surgery.

Rodgers received support from fans over medical choice when he spoke out against forced vaccines and was even backed by State Farm, which he had an endorsement deal with, via The Federalist.

Jets fans had high hopes before his injury.

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla.) posted on X, formerly Twitter, footage of him entering the stadium for Monday night’s game holding the American flag.

The Calvin Coolidge Project posted, “I want Aaron [Rodgers] and the New York Jets to win the Super Bowl this year.”

“When all of the Conservative influencers were hiding underneath their desks too scared to speak out against the Vaccine mandates he was one of the few brave voices speaking out,” the organization added.

Rodgers’ future is suddenly uncertain and so is that of the Jets.

Once Rodgers went down, actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan posted, “I’m feeling for the @nyjets (my adopted #2 squad?) Aaron [Rodgers] going down made me sick. I feel and share your pain Jets fans.

As crap as my game was… man, I’m feeling for the @nyjets (my adopted #2 squad?) Aaron Rogers going down made me sick. I feel and share your pain jets fans. Great win… but…. Shit. No words. Gonna hope for miracle.

“Gonna hope for miracle,” he added.”

The Jets defeated the Bills with a score of 22-16.
