Even though Caitlin Clark’s WNBA contract didn’t live up to the hype compared to her make counterparts, she’s making up for it elsewhere.

Clark, who was just drafted into the WNBA by the Indiana Fever, is reportedly set to ink an eight-figure endorsement deal with Nike, per Fox Business.

The basketball great had a deal with Nike when she was in college at the University of Iowa, but that contract expired at the end of the women’s college basketball season.

The deal reportedly includes her own signature shoe, Fox Business reported.

She also reportedly had offers from Under Armour and Adidas, per the outlet.

The Independent Journal Review reported that Clark will earn $338,056 over four years, according to the WNBA’s collective bargaining agreement.

Several spoke out against the relative low paychecks Clark will receive compared to Victor Wembanyama, last year’s No. pick for the San Antonio Spurs, per IJR.

Wembanyama received $12.1 million in his first season, according to the athlete contract tracker Spotrac.

“Clark averaged 28.4 points over her four seasons with the Hawkeyes, including 31.6 points per game with 8.9 assists and 7.4 rebounds during her incredible 2023-2024 senior season,” Fox Business reported.

She is the NCAA’s all-time leading scorer and played in four most-viewed women’s college basketball games of all-time.

There were 18.7 million viewers who watched Iowa take on South Carolina in the NCAA championship game. As many as 24 million viewers tuned at some point during the game, according to ESPN.

“The number is up 89% from last year and 285% from the 2022 national championship,” per Fox Business.

Iowa lost to South Carolina in the championship game.

After the recent draft, Fanatics said her Fever jersey was the top seller for any draft pick on draft night in the company’s history, according to Fox Business.
