President Joe Biden is telling of story of when — he claims — he was arrested with a Black family standing on a porch during the civil rights movement.
During an interview on radio host Howard Stern’s show, Biden opened up about a conversation he allegedly had with his mother.
In the story, his mother recounted a time when a neighborhood was being desegregated and she warned him to stay away, however, he ignored her warning.
As the story goes, his mother said:
“There was a Black family moving in. And people were down there protesting. I told you not to go down there and you went down. Remember that? And you got arrested standing on the porch with a Black family.”
Biden said he responded, “Yeah, mom I remember that.”

Biden has previously told debunked stories about him getting arrested, such as when he claimed he was arrested trying to see Nelson Mandela.
During the same interview, the president was asked if he ever rescued someone while he worked as a life guard.
"You ever save anyone's life when you were a lifeguard?"
