They may be in the same country, but King Charles and Prince Harry will not meet while the prince is in the U.K.
According to People, a spokesperson for the prince said: “In response to the many inquiries and continued speculation on whether or not The Duke will meet with his father while in the U.K. this week, it unfortunately will not be possible due to His Majesty’s full program. The Duke of course is understanding of his father’s diary of commitments and various other priorities and hopes to see him soon.”
The Duke of Sussex, 39, is back in the U.K. to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games. The Invictus Games is a competition for wounded, injured and sick service personnel and veterans, per the outlet.
King Charles, 75, just recently returned to the public eye after his cancer diagnosis and treatment earlier this year.
On Tuesday, the king met with Sitiveni Rabuka, the prime minister of Fiji. On May 8, Buckingham Palace will host the first garden party this year. It is not known what members of the royal family will attend.
Prince Harry did meet with his father briefly in February shortly after the king’s cancer diagnosis was announced. Per a report, he did not reunite with his brother, Prince William.
