Princess Anne is home Friday after leaving the hospital where she was treated for a concussion.

The Princess Royal, 73, suffered a minor head injury and concussion Sunday after she was believed to be injured by a horse at her Gloucestershire estate, the BBC reported.

Her husband Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence provided a brief statement Friday.

“I would like to extend my warmest thanks to all the team at Southmead Hospital for their care, expertise and kindness during my wife’s short stay,” he said.

She is expected to lay low following her discharge and is not expected to return to public duties until cleared by her doctors.

The princess Anne was discharged from Southmead Hospital and was not seen by the public.

She is now at her country home at Gatcombe Park near Minchinhampton.

It is not known exactly what happened, but reports indicate the princess was injured Sunday evening as she was walking on her estate.

There were horses close by and, according to her medical team, her head injuries could have a result of an impact from a horse’s head or legs, the IJRreported.

Princess Anne, the sister of King Charles III, is known as one of the most hard-working royals, per the BBC.

That was even more apparent when she stepped in to fill the void of the king and Kate Middleton as they both battle cancer.
