Former President Donald Trump is renewing his call for President Joe Biden to take a cognitive test.
And he is offering to accompany him during the process.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump wrote, “Joe should immediately take a Cognitive Test, and I will go with him, and take one also. For the first time we’ll be a team, and do it for the good of the Country.”
“And from now on, all Presidential candidates should be mandated to take a Cognitive Test and Aptitude Test, regardless of their age!!!” he added.
The post comes as Biden is facing pressure to step aside following a disastrous debate performance in which his voice was coarse, he trailed off while answering questions, and claimed he “beat Medicare.”
And during a major press conference on Thursday, Biden referred to Vice President Kamala Harris as “Vice President Trump.”
He also mixed up the presidents of Ukraine and Russia earlier that day.
Speaking to reporters, Biden signaled he is not planning on dropping out of the race, saying, “I’m not in this for my legacy. I’m in this to complete the job that I started.”
“If I slow down and can’t get the job done, that’s a sign I shouldn’t be doing it, but there’s no indication of that yet, none,” he added.
Earlier this week, Trump challenged Biden to a golf match. However, the 46th president’s campaign shot back in a statement, “Joe Biden doesn’t have time for Donald Trump’s weird antics — he’s busy leading America and defending the free world.”
The statement added, “Donald Trump hasn’t been seen in public for 12 days, now he’s inviting fictional serial killers to dinner, teasing lil’ Marco Rubio, praising Project 2025 architect Tom Homan, and challenging the President of the United States to golf.”
