Vice President Kamala Harris has reportedly picked Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) as her running mate.
That’s according to two sources familiar with the subject, The Hill reported.
The 60–year-old governor beat out two other top contenders — Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro (D) and Arizona Sen. Mark Kelly (D).
The likelihood of Harris picking Walz grew lately as he famously called Republicans “weird” in an interview. This line was later chosen by national Democrats to use.
The fact Walz comes from Minnesota worked in his favor as the Republican team of former Donald Trump and JD Vance are working diligently to win the state.
