Republican vice presidential nominee Sen. J.D. Vance (R-Ohio) is stepping up his pressure on Vice President Kamala Harris to answer questions from the press.
On Wednesday, Vance and Harris had an overlap in their campaign schedule and were both at the airport in Eau Claire, Wisconsin around the same time.
The Ohio senator, seeing Air Force Two, decided to take a stroll across the tarmac and criticized the current vice president and Democratic presidential nominee for avoiding questions from reporters.
As he approached Harris’ plane, Vance spoke to reporters gathered nearby and said, “I figured I’d come by… and just get a good look at the plane because hopefully it’s going to be my plane in few months.”
“I also thought you guys may get lonely, because the vice president doesn’t answer questions from reporters, and hasn’t for 17 days,” he continued. “Have they given you guys an explanation for why she won’t take questions from reporters? No? Nobody? OK. Great. Well, I hope that she changes her mind because it would be good for the American people.”

When asked what he would like to hear, Vance said, “I’d lover her to just answer what she wants to do and also explain why every single position she’s had has changed.”
“She’s the border czar, yet’s she’s opened the southern border. This is a person who has to answer a question from the media, and it’s disgraceful that she runs from you guys,” he added.
Vance’s comment comes as Harris gone roughly two weeks as the likely Democratic presidential nominee without holding a press conference or answering questions.
However, he did not actually speak to Harris.
