What’s in a name, one may ask. Apparently, it’s just another day on the presidential campaign trail.
On a campaign stop Sunday in Pennsylvania, Vice President Kamala Harris apparently referred to former President Donald Trump as a “coward,” per Fox News.
Harris was speaking to staff, volunteers and supporters at a Beaver County campaign field office just outside of Pittsburgh.
In her talk, Harris compared her leadership style with Trump’s, who’s known for insulting his political rivals and name-calling.
“This campaign is about a recognition that, frankly, over the last several years there’s been this kind of perversion that has taken place, I think, which is to suggest that the measure of the strength of a leader is based on who you beat down. When what we know is the real and true measure of the strength of a leader is based on who you lift up,” Harris said, adding, “anybody who’s about beating down other people is a coward.”
She didn’t call out Trump by name.
Trump campaign spokesperson Steven Cheung responded by referring that Harris has not had a press conference or has been interviewed since President Joe Biden dropped out of the race in July.
“The Kamala campaign – liars, frauds, and cowards. She can’t even do a sit-down interview or press conference – not even with a friendly outlet – because she’s scared to death of being exposed for the coward and fraud that she is,” Cheung said to Fox News.
The tour through western Pennsylvania by Harris and her running mate Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz included their spouses — second gentleman Doug Emhoff and Minnesota first lady Gwen Walz.

Pennsylvania continues to be a popular campaign stop given its 19 electoral voted the candidates are vying for.
Trump was also in the Keystone State over the weekend.
“We’re winning by a lot in Pennsylvania,” Trump said Saturday in a rally in Wilkes Barre.
However, polls conducted in Pennsylvania since July show the race is a tie now.
