Former first lady Melania Trump seeks to “clarify the facts” in her upcoming memoir she started promoting in a video.
“My Story,” “My Perspective” and “The Truth” were the key messages that flashed across the screen in the video posted to X, formerly Twitter, on Thursday.
“Writing this memoir has been a deeply and reflective journey for me,” she said. “As a private person who has often been the subject of public scrutiny and misrepresentation, I feel a responsibility to clarify the facts.”
“Melania,” will be released this Fall, IJR previously reported.
“I believe it is important to share my perspective: the truth,” she said.
The video, shot in black and white, shows video clips and pictures during her time as first lady. This includes trips overseas and conversing with children, CNN reported.
There is also a link to pre-order the book in the video.
The book as been described as “a powerful and inspiring story of a woman who has carved her own path, overcome adversity and defined personal excellence.”
Melania Trump has not been seen much during this election cycle.
She was seen with her husband, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, in March as she voted in the Florida presidential primary. She was also at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee in July.
The convention took place shortly after the assassination attempt on her husband in Butler, Pennsylvania.
The IJR reported in July that Melania Trump penned a letter, calling the shooting a “heinous act” and added she was she was thinking of her “fellow Americans.”
