Biden Calls Himself a Black Woman in Latest Gaffe

WASHINGTON, DC - JULY 1: U.S. President Joe Biden speaks to the media following the Supreme Court's ruling on charges against former President Donald Trump that he sought to subvert the 2020 election, at the White House on July 1, 2024 in Washington, DC. The highest court ruled 6-3 that presidents have some level of immunity from prosecution when operating within their "constitutional authority," but do not have absolute immunity. President Joe Biden gave his view on what would have happened if he stayed in the race for the White House.

“I was confident I would beat (former President Donald) Trump. He’s a loser,” Biden said Wednesday on “The View.”

But Biden did not stay in the race and dropped out in mid-July when concerns rose about his age and mental acuity. He handed the baton to Vice President Kamala Harris, ABC News reported.

“When I ran for my first term, I said I was going to be a transition president … What happened was we were having so much success in getting things done, and people thought we couldn’t get done, I found myself having used more time than I would have ordinarily to pass that torch,” Biden said.

Harris, the receiver of that torch, was praised by Biden.

“But working with Kamala, she is tough, she’s honorable,” he said.  “And the thing I like about her, and one thing we share in common, is that we have an optimistic view of the future.”

He added he believes she can get the job done.

“[Kamala] has the energy, she has the intelligence, she has the grit. She has the stamina and she has the guts to do the right thing,” Biden said.

Biden also had some choice words for Trump, calling him “the most unusual president.”

“[Trump] does not believe in democracy and the guardrails that our system has set up for the abuse of power,” he said.
