President Donald Trump’s first 100 days in his second go-around in the Oval Office has had its ups and downs regarding his approval ratings with everything ranging from border security — a high — and inflation — a low.
A Fox News survey revealed recently just what Americans believe of Trump’s job performance so far.
Trump’s overall approval rating is 44%, which is down from a 49% approval rating in March.
The one positive mark in Trump’s favor is border security with a 55% approval rate. He rated high on immigration with a 47% approval rating compared to 48% disapproval.
Trump did not fare so well with his worst rating — inflation — with 33% approval to 59% disapproval.
Other low scores include the economy with 38% approval to 56% disapproval; tariffs with 33%-58%; foreign policy with 40%-54%; taxes with 38%-53%; and guns with 41%-44%.
Trump’s overall approval rating is lower than those of his predecessors in their first 100 days. Those are Joe Biden at 54%, Barack Obama at 62%) and George W. Bush at 63%. Trump’s first 100 days eight years ago had an approval rating of 45%.

There are about 59% of the voters who are unhappy with how things happening in the U.S. This is up from the end of Biden’s term, which showed 68% dissatisfied.
There are 55% of voters who say the economy is getting worse for their families.
Twenty-eight percent believe things are getting better.
There are 75% Republicans who are encouraged about the next four years of Trump’s presidency. This includes a 38% approval rating from all voters.
On the Republican side, most are concerned about government spending and immigration. For Democrats, most are concerned about a recession and healthcare.
“As we’ve moved from one administration to another and the Trump administration tries to find its footing, many still see our leaders as unresponsive to their main concerns,” says Republican pollster Daron Shaw, who conducts Fox New surveys with Democrat Chris Anderson. “Partisans have flipped, of course, so now it’s Democrats who are most worried, but many Independents and Republicans are also skeptical their economic fears are being addressed.”
Vice President JD Vance has a 51% disapproval rating and 42% disapproval rating, while Elon Musk, head of the Department of Government Efficiency, has a 39% approval rating and a 56% disapproval rating.
Forty-two percent approve of the job JD Vance is doing as vice president, while 51% disapprove.
For Elon Musk’s work with DOGE, 39% approve and 56% disapprove.
