‘Kid Cudi’ Testifies in Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Sex Trafficking Trial

Scott Mescudi, known professionally as “Kid Cudi,” took the stand Thursday in the ongoing trial of music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs.

According to CNN, “Kid Cudi” had a brief relationship with Combs’ ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura and told the court about the interactions he had with Combs after he met Ventura in 2008, and began a relationship with her in 2011.

Combs is accused of sex trafficking and racketeering and could face life in prison if convicted.

Mescudi said that Ventura and Combs “had some problems and they weren’t dating anymore,” but noted when Combs discovered his relationship with Ventura, Combs called Kid Mescudi and said he wanted to speak with him.

After leaving a hotel where he had been with Ventura to speak with Combs, Mescudi said he arrived at his home where Combs was meeting him, to find his house had been broken into, his security cameras had been moved, and his dog had been locked inside a bathroom.

Mescudi said he spent the holidays with Ventura and her family, while still receiving text messages from Combs. Mescudi told the court he believed Combs was behind the break-in and had filed a police report.

Mescudi also testified that one morning in January 2012, his dog watcher had called and said Cudi’s Porsche was on fire. He noted it looked like “like the top of my Porsche was cut open, and that’s where the Molotov cocktail was put in.”

“He had been wanting to talk to me. So, after the fire, I was like, ‘This is getting out of hand, I need to talk to him,'” Mescudi told the court according to Mediaite.

Mescudi met with Combs privately and said, “Combs was standing there, staring out the window with his hands behind his back, like a Marvel supervillain,” but noted that Combs denied having anything to do with Mescudi’s car being set on fire. In 2015, the pair made amends when Combs apologized to Mescudi.

While in a relationship with Ventura, Mescudi testified that Ventura had told him about physical abuse she had endured at the hands of Combs but added that she never told him about any sexual abuse.
