Ghislaine Maxwell, best known as Jeffrey Epstein’s girlfriend, is now in a federal prison in Texas.
According to The Hill, was quietly moved recently.
“Ghislaine Maxwell is in the custody of the Bureau of Prisons (BOP) at the Federal Prison Camp (FPC) Bryan in Bryan, Texas,” BOP official Benjamin O’Cone said Friday.
Maxwell was convicted of sex trafficking and is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence. She is appealing her case to the Supreme Court, hoping to get her conviction overturned.
The House Oversight and Government Reform Committee subpoenaed Maxwell to glean information about Epstein.
Although Maxwell’s attorney, David Oscar Markus, said Maxwell would only speak if granted immunity. The panel rejected the demand.
Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche spoke with Maxwell in Florida last week over of two days.
There has been renewed interest in the Esptein case regarding an alleged “client list.”
Epstein was a convicted sex offender and disgraced financier. He died by suicide in 2019.
