A man was gunned down in front of his wife and son in front of the church they attend in Seattle.
Lebron Givuan, 28, was shot in the chest on the steps of Pursuit Seattle Church Thursday night, per Lynnwood Times.
Seattle Police responded to reports of gunfire around at 7:18 p.m., Thursday in the area of Northeast 47th Street and 17th Avenue Northeast.
They found Givuan and tried life-saving measures before he was pronounced dead at the scene where about 30 bullet casings found.
Lead Pastor Russell Johnson of The Pursuit NW posted about the tragedy on X.
“A man was murdered in front of his wife and son while walking in to our church tonight,” he wrote. “They turned the house of God into a crime scene. I am outraged.”
Police, who believe the victim was targeted, are now searching for the gunman, who was seen leaving the scene in a white Hyundai Elantra with black wheels and a shattered front passenger window.
The car was later abandoned and caught on fire near another church.
An independent journalist acquired a surveillance video of the shooting that happened as a young adult service and barbecue were about to start.
Pastor Amy Wuerch, talked about Givuan recent activity in the church.
“The young man recently gave his life to Christ,” she said . “Pastor Fred Young led him to Christ probably about 30 days ago.”
A $50,000 reward is being offered by the church to be given to anyone who offers information leading to the suspect’s arrest.
