Kristin Cabot, 53, the former human resources executive who went viral last summer after being spotted cozying up to her married boss at a Coldplay concert, is set to appear as a keynote speaker at PRWeek’s 2026 Crisis Comms Conference in Washington, DC. Tickets for the event range from $750 to $875, a price tag that has left critics stunned and social media users openly mocking what they see as a shameless cash-in.
Cabot will share the stage for a 30-minute session titled Taking Back the Narrative alongside public relations CEO Dini von Mueffling. The April conference features 14 other speakers, but Cabot’s name is clearly the headline grabber — and the lightning rod.
Online reaction was swift and brutal.
“I guess high-profile adultery can be a temporary big payday,” one user wrote on X.
“So I guess being an adulteress does pay off,” another jabbed.

Cabot first became a national spectacle in July when she and then-Astronomer CEO Andy Byron were caught on the stadium kiss cam during a Coldplay concert in Boston. The pair were seen dancing closely and kissing in a VIP balcony before abruptly trying to hide when they realized they were on camera.
Coldplay frontman Chris Martin only fueled the moment, joking to the crowd, “Oh, look at these two! Oh, what? Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy.”
The clip exploded online within hours, spawning memes, jokes, and widespread criticism — especially given Cabot’s role as head of HR and Byron’s position as CEO.
After months of silence, Cabot broke her silence in December, telling the New York Times that the fallout was far more severe than most people realized. She said she received more than 60 death threats, was publicly shamed by strangers, mocked by celebrities, and branded an “adulterer” by people she encountered in everyday life.

In the immediate aftermath, both Cabot and Byron were placed on leave as Astronomer launched an internal investigation. Byron soon resigned as CEO. Cabot followed shortly after.
Now, less than a year later, Cabot is attempting to reframe the episode as a case study in crisis management — and asking hundreds of dollars a seat for the lesson.
