MS NOW said it will cut “Morning Joe” down to three hours in a major lineup shuffle roughly six months after being spun off from NBC, Mediaite reported.

“Morning Joe” co-hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski had lobbied for the change, citing the demands of hosting a four-hour show, according to Mediaite. The show will now air from 6:00 a.m. EDT to 9:00 a.m. EDT, while Stephanie Ruhle will host a new show at 9:00 a.m., Mediaite reported, partially displacing former host Ana Cabrera, who is leaving the network.

“I am truly grateful for my time at MS NOW, for my wonderful colleagues, my amazing team that works so hard every day, and for you, the viewers who’ve put your trust in me to serve you through this most meaningful work,” Cabrera said in a video posted on X. “Thank you. I’m not leaving immediately, I’ll still be helming the anchor desk for a few more months, but I wanted to give you a heads up, and I look forward to sharing more about what’s next for me soon. Stay tuned.”

Host Chris Jansing will also vacate the anchor desk; he will be replaced by “The Weeknight” co-host Alicia Menendez, who will be replaced by Luke Russert, Mediaite reported. Jansing will serve as MS NOW’s chief political reporter. “All In,” hosted by Chris Hayes, will return to five nights a week.

Comcast announced it would spin off the left-leaning network, then known as MSNBC, in November 2024. Several other networks, including CNBC, USA, Oxygen and SyFy, were also packaged in the spinoff, which resulted in MS NOW being severed from NBC.

In February 2025, MSNBC announced that shows hosted by Joy Reid and Alex Wagner would end, with Reid being let go from the network, and former White House press secretary Jen Psaki taking over the 9 p.m. slot on Tuesdays through Friday.
