Former Fox News host Bill O’Reilly and comedian Adam Carolla criticized former Vice President Kamala Harris’ intelligence during a Tuesday episode of “The Adam Carolla Show.”
O’Reilly said on the show that former President Joe Biden and Democratic California Gov. Gavin Newsom frequently change their positions to boost their political viability. Carolla asked O’Reilly if it is “a fair statement to say that Kamala Harris attempts to do the same thing, but she doesn’t pull it off.”

“She’s not smart enough,” O’Reilly said, to which Carolla agreed.
“She’s not smart enough, but she’s against fracking. Now she’s for fracking. She was for transing the illegals in prison,” the comedian said. “Now she’s against it. And to flip-flop, it takes a very skilled hand to pull that off. And she’s just not skilled enough to do that.”
While Harris backtracked on her far-left positions during her 2024 presidential campaign, she ultimately lost all seven swing states and the popular vote to President Donald Trump.
However, O’Reilly argued it was Harris’ lack of intelligence rather than talent that prevented her from successfully flip-flopping.
“I don’t think it’s a matter of skill for her. I just don’t think she’s smart enough … once you get at a certain level, you’re under scrutiny all the time,” he said. “And you’ve got to be aware of what’s happening around you. And Newsom is.”
O’Reilly noted that Biden appointed Harris to a role addressing the migrant crisis in 2021. She was commonly referred to as the “border czar” following the appointment.
“‘I’m going to get to the root cause of why millions of people want to come to the United States.’ And Kamala was going to get to the root cause of that. Of course, the root cause was they wanted to make money,” he said. “That was it. There’s no other cause. They don’t care about the Rocky Mountains. They don’t want an In-N-Out burger. They want to make money … She did nothing about the border catastrophe. And Biden was more than happy to give it to her because Biden couldn’t, wouldn’t do anything either.”
“She didn’t stop one person. Not one,” O’Reilly said. “You could have gotten a five-year-old in El Paso to be the border czar who would have done a better job than Kamala Harris.”
The Biden-Harris administration reportedly oversaw the highest level of net migration in American history after rapidly unwinding Trump’s policies to crack down on illegal immigration. The former president reportedly ignored multiple early warnings from advisers that his immigration agenda could cause a border crisis and dragged his feet on solutions as crossings hit historic levels.
Moreover, Carolla mocked Harris for her June 2021 interview with NBC News anchor Lester Holt.
“That interview she did with Lester Holt where she said she’d been to the border. ‘We’ve been to the border.’ And then the most telling part of that is she said, ‘I haven’t been to Europe either. I don’t know what you’re asking.’ You’re the border czar,” the comedian said. “He’s asking if you’ve been to the border that you’re the czar of. Why is that a confusing question for you? She’s stupid. I agree.”
After Harris said she had been to the border during the interview, Holt corrected her.
“You haven’t been to the border,” he said.
“And I haven’t been to Europe,” Harris replied. “I don’t understand the point that you’re making.”
