New allegations are adding another layer of controversy to the ongoing scrutiny surrounding Kristi Noem’s family, as claims emerge about private messages allegedly sent by her husband during an online relationship.

According to an interview published Friday by the Daily Mail, Bryon Noem is accused of sharing deeply personal fantasies with a dominatrix over the course of a years-long online interaction.

The woman, Shy Sotomayor, alleged that the conversations dated back several years and included discussions about identity and personal desires.

“I need to be your trans bimbo slutt,” he once texted her, according to the report.

Sotomayor claimed that during their exchanges, Bryon Noem expressed interest in adopting the name “Crystal” and spoke about wanting to undergo physical changes.

“I want to be a Crystal so bad,” he allegedly wrote. “I want to be a woman so bad.”

She said she was taken aback by the name he chose.

“I was just jaw to the floor, thrown for a loop that he wanted to be called that, so close to her name, when he could have gone with Stephanie or something,” Sotomayor said.

The messages, as described, also included comments about leaving their respective spouses.

“I can see us leaving our spouses for each other,” he is said to have told her.

Sotomayor further alleged that Bryon Noem criticized his wife in their conversations and unfavorably compared her.

The relationship, she claimed, began in 2016 when he allegedly used the pseudonym “Jason” to communicate with her online. Over time, she said, the exchanges became more frequent and demanding.

Sotomayor alleged that he spent significant sums of money during their interactions, sometimes paying thousands of dollars for conversations.

She said she eventually became suspicious and decided to investigate further, using identifying details linked to payments and contact information.

It was through that process, she claimed, that she discovered his identity.

The latest claims follow earlier reports that drew attention to Bryon Noem’s online activity and involvement in niche internet communities.

After those reports surfaced, Kristi Noem responded through a spokesperson, saying she was “devastated” and that her family had been “blindsided.”

Bryon Noem has not publicly responded to the newest allegations.

As the situation continues to unfold, the claims are intensifying the spotlight on the personal life of the former Cabinet official and her family.
