A late-night mystery uncovered by concerned parents has led to the arrest of a high school teacher in Florida, after investigators say the situation revealed a troubling relationship.
According to Fox News, Kirsten Rose, 37, who taught at Cocoa Beach Jr./Sr. High School was taken into custody following an investigation by the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities say the case began in March when the parents of a male student noticed unusual behavior. Their son had come home late from work and would not explain where he had been.
Growing suspicious, the parents checked his location and discovered he had been at an unfamiliar residence.
When confronted, the teen initially claimed he had been visiting a girlfriend. Investigators say he later admitted that he had been involved in a relationship with his teacher.
That admission prompted a deeper investigation.
Detectives determined that Rose and the student had been privately communicating on Instagram for months, beginning in November 2025.
According to authorities, the nature of the relationship escalated over time.
Investigators say it became sexual in February and continued into March.
Based on those findings, Rose was arrested and booked into the Brevard County Jail, where officials say she is being held without bond.
She now faces multiple charges, including five counts of unlawful sexual activity with a minor. Additional charges include lewd and indecent exposure offenses involving a student and an authority figure.
The case remains under active investigation.
Officials have not released further details about the extent of the alleged relationship, but they are asking anyone with information to come forward.
The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office said its Special Victims Unit is continuing to gather evidence as the case moves forward.
