Comedian Adam Carolla rebuked Democratic New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker for being hysterical about President Donald Trump deploying Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents to airports during a Friday episode of “The Adam & Dr. Drew Show.”
Booker repeatedly expressed “outrage” during a Monday press conference at Newark Airport after the Trump administration deployed ICE agents to airports amid the ongoing Department of Homeland Security (DHS) shutdown. Carolla said on the show that “Cory Booker is a fucking pussy” and that his alarmist rhetoric was dishonest.

“They go ‘rogue agents, breaking into churches, kicking in open doors, filing into schools, indiscriminately grabbing people and dragging them to disappear.’ It’s like, you’re making all of that up … Nobody uses hyperbole talking about 9/11 or Pearl Harbor,” Carolla said. “Nobody makes up anything … It’s a tragedy. And you don’t need to embellish it with hyperbole. Why do you guys do so much embellishing? January 6, ICE, you do so much embellishing. Well, the answer is ’cause it’s not a tragedy. Fucking liars.”
The comedian then played footage of Booker’s press conference.
“He’s taking the very same agency that has been bursting into our schools, into our churches, into our hospitals, into our courts, and even to the homes of Americans,” Booker said in the footage. “He’s taking that agency that is reckless and out of control and bringing them to our airports under the lie that somehow this is going to help deal with the long lines that he created in the first place. This is an outrage.”
Booker also accused ICE of supposedly destroying American families, arresting Americans and breaching their rights.
“Has anyone ever fucking coached up these retards?” Carolla asked after playing the footage. “And by the way, Cory, will you get back to us in three weeks when nothing happens?”
“Cory Booker is a fucking pussy, which is the sad part,” he added. “But he’s also lying about everything he’s saying.”
ICE agents were deployed on Monday to help Transportation Security Administration (TSA) officers amid a nationwide airport crisis due to the shutdown leaving TSA officers without pay.
Senate Democrats voted to shut down DHS in February following the fatal immigration enforcement-related shootings of Renee Good and Alex Pretti in January. They demanded a list of immigration reforms in return for fully funding DHS.
“[W]e have seen wait times decrease,” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said on Wednesday. “Not as much as we’d like, but hopefully they will continue to.”
Five senators passed a funding bill at 2:18 a.m. on Friday that would terminate the shutdown before the body goes into its two-week Easter recess.
