Actress Anne Heche has died at the age of 53 following a car crash, according to reports.
The Guardian reported that Heche’s death was confirmed on Instagram by her friend Nancy Davis.
“Heaven has a new Angel. My loving, kind, fun, endearing and beautiful friend [Anne Heche] went to heaven. I will miss her terribly and cherish all the beautiful memories we have shared,” Davis wrote.
She added, “Anne was always the kindest, most thoughtful person who always brought out the best in me. She was so supportive with anything she could do to help [racetoerasems] and would always say yes when she knew she could contribute something with her time, talent and creative genius to help find a cure for MS . My heart is broken.”
A representative for Heche previously reported the actress was being kept on life support to determine if any of her organs are viable.
Last week, Heche was hospitalized after crashing her car into a home and causing it to catch on fire.
It was reported that Heche suffered burns and was under the influence.
Heche has two children she shares with her exes Coley Laffoon and James Tupper.
“Obviously, the miracle of life for a mother is just dumbfounding,” Heche previously told People Magazine after having her second child.
She added, “It’s so hard to explain how wonderful it is to look in the eyes of a child that you’re blessed with.”
