Former Attorney General William Barr is taking aim at his old boss.
During an appearance on CBS’ “Face The Nation” Sunday, Barr was asked what it would say about the Republican Party if former President Donald Trump wins the 2024 primary.
The former attorney general argued Trump has “many good qualities and he accomplished some good things.”
“But the fact of the matter is, he is a consummate narcissist. And he constantly engages in reckless conduct that puts his political followers at risk, and the conservative and Republican agenda at risk,” Barr said.
He added, “He will always put his own interest and gratifying his own ego ahead of everything else including the country’s interests.”

Barr also likened Trump to a “defiant nine-year-old kid who’s pushing a glass toward the end of the table defying his parents to stop him from doing it.”
He also described Trump with a two-word label as he called him a “troubled man.”
“Our country can’t be a therapy session for a troubled man like this.”
Barr has been critical of Trump for his handling of classified documents.
And the former president has blasted him, calling him a “disgruntled former employee,” a “lazy attorney general,” and a “gutless pig.”

Barr’s comments come after Trump was indicted for his handling of classified documents.
The former president has insisted he is an “innocent man.”
He also blamed the charges against him on “mutants.”
