“The View” co-host Joy Behar is suggesting that recent comments from Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) could be used in propaganda against the West by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
On Friday, Behar kicked off the conversation noting, “A lot of people are terrified about how far Putin will go. And Sen. Lindsey Graham says there’s only one way to stop him.”
She played a clip of Graham’s appearance on Fox News when he called for someone to “take [Putin] out.”
While she noted that the South Carolina senator’s comments could have been a call for Putin to be removed from his position — and not killed — Behar said there are calls for Graham’s resignation.
She asked, “What do you think about what he said?”
“Who cares what Lindsey says?” co-host Ana Navarro responded.
Behar interjected to note that Graham is a United States senator. However, Navarro pushed back, “You think any Russian general is going to be listening to what Lindsey Graham is saying on Fox News?”

Finally, Behar asked, “You don’t think Putin could use that as propaganda and [say] ‘look what they’re trying to do over there?’”
In a series of tweets on Thursday night, Graham wrote, “Is there a Brutus in Russia? Is there a more successful Colonel Stauffenberg in the Russian military? The only way this ends is for somebody in Russia to take this guy out. You would be doing your country – and the world – a great service.”

The only way this ends is for somebody in Russia to take this guy out.
You would be doing your country – and the world – a great service.
“The only people who can fix this are the Russian people. Easy to say, hard to do. Unless you want to live in darkness for the rest of your life, be isolated from the rest of the world in abject poverty, and live in darkness you need to step up to the plate,” he added.
However, on Friday morning, Graham said Putin “needs to go to jail.”
