President Joe Biden was not taking questions about the appointment of a special counsel.
Biden was with Japanese Prime Minister Kishida Fumio in the Oval Office on Friday morning.
After a photo op, reporters attempted to ask the president about the investigation into classified documents discovered at the Penn Biden Center and his home in Wilmington, Delaware.
As reporters shouted questions, aides attempted to usher them out of the room.
At one point, the prime minister leaned forward to shake Biden’s hand.
Biden then sat back in his chair and smiled as his aides continued to try to get reporters to leave the room.

At one point, Biden pointed at a coffee table and said something to a reporter.
“Sorry, sir,” he responded.
Biden laughed before he was heard saying, “Don’t get hurt, fellas. Don’t get hurt.”
One White House pool report noted the situation was “extremely chaotic in the room and nearly impossible to make out the shouted questions.”
Biden did answer questions about the case earlier this week.
On Tuesday, he told reporters his lawyers “did what they should have done. They immediately called the [National Archives] … turned them over to the Archive” after classified documents were discovered in an office at the Penn Biden Center.
“I was briefed about this discovery and surprised to learn that there were any government records that were taken there to that office,” he continued. “But I don’t know what’s in the documents. My lawyers have not suggested I ask what documents they were.”
And on Thursday, he faced a question after it was revealed classified documents were found in the garage of his Wilmington residence.
Fox News’ Peter Doocy asked, “Classified materials next to your Corvette? What were you thinking?”
“By the way, my Corvette’s in a locked garage, OK? So it’s not like they’re sitting out in the street,” Biden responded.
He added, “People know I take classified documents and classified material seriously. I also said we’re cooperating fully and completely with the Justice Department’s review.”
