Biden’s campaign was pressed on if Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden’s uses a teleprompter for “Q&As,” but the campaign refuses to answer.
Biden’s national press secretary T.J. Ducklo was repeatedly questioned by Fox News’ Bret Baier about if Biden has used a teleprompter to answer questions in local interviews or during “Q&As” with supporters.
However, during the interview on Thursday evening, Ducklo suggested Baier was using talking points from President Donald Trump’s reelection campaign.
“We are not going to — this is straight from the Trump campaign talking points,” Ducklo fired back.
He continued, “And what it does, Bret, is it’s trying to distract the American people from,” before Baier jumped in to ask, “Can you say yes or no?”
When Ducklo then said that the Trump campaign discusses the teleprompter because they “don’t have a coherent strategy,” Baier responded, “Well, you haven’t answered, yes or no?”
See the comments below (starting at 6:20):
“They talk about it every day because they don’t have a coherent argument for why Donald Trump deserves reelection, deserves four more years,” Ducklo said.
He continued, “We know that he lied to the American people. We know that he has not shown leadership during this crisis and they are desperate to throw anything they can against the wall to try to distract from that fact.”
When asked once more if he would answer the question, Biden’s press secretary then said he is “not going to allow the Trump campaign to funnel their questions through Fox News and get me to respond to that.”
The interview drew a response from Megyn Kelly, who tweeted, “Poor kid has no idea how obvious it is that he’s dodging and we can all see it.”
