If President Donald Trump loses the 2020 presidential election, Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden believes he will have to be escorted from the White House.
During an interview with “The Daily Show” host Trevor Noah on Wednesday, the former vice president was asked if he has “ever considered what would happen if the election results came out as you being the winner and Trump refused to leave.”
In response, Biden said, “Yes I have.”
“I promise you: I am absolutely convinced they will escort him from the White House with great dispatch,” Biden said, referring to the military.
A CNN poll that was released this week, conducted June 2-5, found that Biden has a 14-point lead in the presidential race. The president was not happy with the poll and he fired off a tweet in response, as IJR reported.
Trump’s lawyers also sent a letter to CNN, claiming the poll was “designed to mislead American voters through a biased questionnaire and skewed sampling,” as IJR also reported.
“It’s a stunt and a phony poll to cause voter suppression, stifle momentum and enthusiasm for the President, and present a false view generally of the actual support across America for the President,” Trump’s lawyers said.
CNN’s General Counsel David Vigilant wrote in response to the campaign, “To my knowledge, this is the first time in its 40 year history that CNN had been threatened with legal action because an American politician or campaign did not like CNN’s polling results.”

“Your letter is legally baseless. It is yet another bad faith attempt by the campaign to threaten litigation to muzzle speech it does not want voters to read or hear. Your allegations and demands are rejected in their entirety,” the CNN lawyer wrote in the letter.
