President Joe Biden is trying to taunt former President Donald Trump into debating the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee.

In a post on X, Biden shared a video of Vice President Kamala Harris — who is all but assured to replace him on the ticket — saying, “Well, Donald, I do hope you’ll reconsider to meet on the debate stage. Because as the saying goes, if you got something to say, say it to my face!”

The 46th president wrote, “Man up, Donald.”

However, several users on X noted that Biden had dropped out of the race and suggested that there was an irony in his telling Trump to “man up.”:

You literally dropped out of the race because you knew you were going to lose. Coward.

The person who allowed himself to be run out of the race by a couple of rich folks is telling Trump to “man up.” Perfect. https://t.co/cpQPmyybme

He did. Everyone saw him do it. https://t.co/UewJpsc9Eh pic.twitter.com/8o2tNgtukO

A single debate ended this man’s whole 50-year political career.

He can take a very big seat. https://t.co/bbMZ3lc8ra

Didn't you literally drop out? https://t.co/P4x1tWLsHw

Last week, the Trump campaign said it could not agree to debates due to “continued political chaos surrounding Crooked Joe Biden and the Democrat Party.”
