Bindi Irwin, daughter of the late Steve Irwin, revealed how her daughter is following in his footsteps.
In an exclusive interview with People on Saturday, Bindi Irwin, 24, spoke about her daughter, Grace Warrior, 2, and her love for animals.
“She just loves wildlife, and she gets so excited to learn more. She knows so many animal names. It is unreal,” she shared.
The “Crikey! It’s the Irwins” star added, “I mean, I guess it runs in the family.”
Bindi Irwin said Grace’s “favorite now is dinosaurs.”
“She just talks about all these different dinosaur names that we don’t know how she knows them all,” she said.

She referred to Grace’s passion “about the natural world” as “really remarkable.”
Additionally, Bindi Irwin described her toddler as “such a sweet and sensitive soul.”
“I see in her so much love and kindness and empathy. She’s only 2, but … you know, she’s the one to crouch down and wave high to the ants,” she stated.
Bindi Irwin proceeded to detail a sweet moment when Grace insisted on saving an animal’s life.
“The other day we rescued a bee. It had fallen in a little puddle, and she was so intent that we had to rescue this bee,” she explained.
She added, “She’s been talking about it for a week. It’s really cute.”
In May 2022, Bindi Irwin revealed to People how she is keeping her father’s memory alive for her daughter.
“We have so many documentaries of Dad, and we’re always playing them for Grace. It’s so fun to watch her study him. I didn’t realize how much Dad’s passion for life and his animated facial expressions — I mean, they captivate her,” she said.
She noted that she “definitely” sees “parts of [Dad] in Grace.”
Steve Irwin, who rose to fame through his wildlife show, “The Crocodile Hunter,” died in 2006 after a freak accident where he was stung in the chest by a stingray.
