Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) posted a photo with her and her children holding guns in front of a Christmas tree.
“The Boeberts have your six, [Rep Thomas Massie]! (No spare ammo for you, though),” Boebert tweeted.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) mocked Boebert for the post.
“Tell me again where Christ said ‘use the commemoration of my birth to flex violent weapons for personal political gain’? lol @ all the years Republicans spent on cultural hysteria of society ‘erasing Christmas and it’s meaning’ when they’re doing that fine all on their own,” Ocasio-Cortez tweeted.
She added, “When you pose in front of a Christmas Tree and can name all those guns but can’t name the gifts of the Wise Men.”
When you pose in front of a Christmas Tree and can name all those guns but can’t name the gifts of the Wise Men ???

Boebert’s tweet comes just days after Rep. Thomas Massie tweeted a similar photo, saying, “Merry Christmas! ps. Santa, please bring ammo.”

Several took to the social media platform to blast Massie for the photo.
This is sick and appalling. It is an act of premeditated provocation grounded in cruelty and an emotional sadism that has become synonymous with extremist politicians like @RepThomasMassie. The desecration of the Christmas Tree is a particularly disgusting accoutrement to his pic.twitter.com/RPm75kMXMn

GOP Rep Thomas Massie's "Christmas card" featuring his family all holding guns comes just days after 4 kids were SHOT and killed in a Michigan school. They haven't even buried the dead yet. This perfectly sums up how vile today's GOP is. My new CNN: https://t.co/juv8wMhMBG pic.twitter.com/ubKbOFC8WR

.@RepThomasMassie, would you have had the nerve to post that photo if the school shooting had happened in YOUR district?

I doubt it; you woulda been ridden outta town on a rail. But since the Gov of Mich is a Dem, you’re fine hiding your sorry ass far, far away. Damn your hide.
This latest #Republican stunt by Rep. #ThomasMassie is extremely offensive:

– Disrespects Christians celebrating the birth of Jesus
– Disrespects the seriousness of the 2nd Amendment and those who believe in it

Earlier this month, a 15-year-old boy was charged after shooting and killing four students and injuring others at a high school in Michigan.
Charges against Ethan Crumbley include murder, attempted murder, and terrorism causing death.
During a press conference Friday, Oakland County Prosecuting Attorney Karen McDonald announced charges against Ethan Crumbly’s parents, Jennifer Crumbley and James Crumbley, as IJR reported.
They were both charged with four counts of involuntary manslaughter.
“Both James and Jennifer Crumbley failed to ask their son if he had his gun with him or where his gun was located and failed to inspect his backpack for the presence of the gun which he had with him,” McDonald said.
