Glamour Magazine U.K. received some backlash after it featured a pregnant transgender man on its cover for Pride Month.
On June 1, the magazine debuted the cover on its Twitter page featuring Logan Brown, a biological woman who identifies as a man, with a large pregnant belly.
âIntroducing Logan Brown, GLAMOURâs June Pride cover star. âIâm a pregnant trans man and I do exist. No matter what anyone says, Iâm living proof,'â the outlet quoted Brown in the caption.
Another photo showing Brown topless with scarring on her chest from breast removal was also featured.
However, the cover wasnât well received by users on Twitter.
âSheâs living proof that women can get pregnant?GroundbreakingâŚ..,â one user wrote.
Another user responded, âYouâre featuring a straight pregnant woman on the cover of your gay pride edition?â
ââIâm a pregnant trans man and I do exist. No matter what anyone says, Iâm living proofâ (sic) Emphasis on âIâm a pregnant trans manâ that alone confirms that whoever wrote that is/was a woman,â one user noted.
Continuing, the user wrote, âUr womb, uterus (sic) and fallopian tube werenât removed (sic) So yes you can get pregnant.â
Another user added, âI just do not accept you are a man.â
Another user stated, âStop. Just stop.â
In an interview with the magazine, Brown spoke about finding out she was pregnant unexpectedly by her non-binary partner and U.K. drag performer, Bailey J Mills.
âI took a pregnancy test, and it was positive. Iâd been off testosterone for a while due to some health issues,â she said.
Brown added, âIt was like my whole world just stopped. That everything, all my manlihood that Iâve worked hard for, for so long, just completely felt like it was erased.â
