Caitlyn Jenner accused transgender swimmer Lia Thomas of being “one of the worst things that happened to the trans community.”
During an appearance on “Piers Morgan Uncensored,” Jenner explained, “Because it’s such bad publicity.”
Jenner added, “I’ve met so many wonderful trans people, doing so many wonderful things, living their life authentically.”
The Fox News contributor told Morgan, “I hope Lia Thomas — it’s over for her now because she’s out of college — and I just hope she has a wonderful life.”
Jenner continued, “Being trans is not easy, I hope she enjoys the rest of her life and has a good life.”

Last month, Jenner agreed with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) when he declared Florida native Emma Weyant the “rightful winner” over Thomas.
“It’s not transphobic or anti-trans, it’s COMMON SENSE!” Jenner tweeted.

DeSantis tweeted after declaring Weyant the winner, “By allowing men to compete in women’s sports, the NCAA is destroying opportunities for women, making a mockery of its championships, and perpetuating a fraud.”
He added, “In Florida, we reject these lies and recognize Sarasota’s Emma Weyant as the best women’s swimmer in the 500y freestyle.”

In January, Jenner spoke out about transgender athletes participating in female sports.
“We need to protect women’s sports,” Jenner said. “I feel sorry for the other athletes that are out there, especially at Penn or anybody she’s competing against. … It’s not good for women’s sports. It’s unfortunate that this is happening.”
A University of Kentucky swimmer who tied Thomas during the NCAA championships told Fox News’ Tucker Carlson there is a “difference between your sex and your gender identity, and so I think that it’s just been totally misconstrued and lost.”
She continued, “It’s finally gotten to the point where it’s being shown and it’s completely violating women and women’s rights, especially in sports.”
