Actor and martial arts icon Chuck Norris has been hospitalized in Hawaii.
TMZ reported Thursday Norris’ hospitalization followed a medical emergency.
The incident occurred within the last 24 hours on the island of Kauai. The nature of the emergency has not been disclosed.
Norris, 86, is reported to be in good spirits.
The hospitalization appeared to be sudden.
On Wednesday, Norris was on the phone with a friend while training. He was cracking jokes and showing no signs of distress, TMZ reported.
Norris had been training in Kauai in the days before the emergency. Norris is a black belt in karate, taekwondo, tang soo do and Brazilian jiu-jitsu.
He posted a video on his birthday, March 10, which showed him sparring with a trainer.
“I don’t age. I level up,” he wrote for the caption. “I’m 86 today! Nothing like some playful action on a sunny day to make you feel young. I’m grateful for another year, good health and the chance to keep doing what I love.”
Norris also thanked his supporters for his 58-year career.
“Your support through the years has meant more to me than you’ll ever know,” he wrote.
Norris had a cameo in “Hawaii Five-0” in 2020 and a lead role in the 2024 sci-fi action film “Agent Recon.”
He is set to play himself this year in the Australian action comedy “Zombie Plane,” which also stars Vanilla Ice and Sophie Monk.
