Former Secretary State of Hillary Clinton is blasting President Donald Trump for his efforts to overturn the results of the presidential election.

Clinton wrote in a tweet on Monday, “What we’re seeing right now is a president with nothing left to lose and only one goal—to distract people from the fact that he lost.”

“He doesn’t care that the costs are America’s health, security, and our very democracy,” she added.

Clinton also turned her attention to Congressional Republicans’ efforts to overturn the presidential election, “Georgia voters, along with a clear majority of Americans, chose Joe Biden to be their president. Trump can’t change that, no matter how many oaths he breaks.”

“GOP legislators who side with his attempts to overturn a free and fair election out themselves as opponents of democracy,” she added.

Clinton’s comments come as at least 12 Republican senators and 140 House Republicans are planning on objecting to certify the Electoral College vote count.

President-elect Joe Biden won the presidential election. However, Trump has refused to concede and instead has made baseless allegations of widespread voter fraud.

Clinton has previously lashed out at Republicans who do not push back on Trump’s false claims, as IJR reported.

“The election was not close. There was no evidence of fraud. The states have certified the results. Yet Trump continues to try to overturn the election at the expense of our democracy,” she said in December.

She added, “The emperor has no clothes. Republican electeds who continue to humor him have no spines.”
