CNN CEO Chris Licht to Leave Network After 1 Year on the Job

CNN CEO Chris Licht is set to leave the network after a controversial year in the position.

On Wednesday, David Zaslav, the chief executive of CNN’s parent company Warner Bros. Discovery, told the network’s employees, “I met with Chris and he will be leaving CNN.”

CNBC notes the news came after The Atlantic published “an unflattering 15,000-word profile of Licht.”

The outgoing CEO faced criticism over CNN’s town hall with former President Donald Trump last month.
