Actor and Comedian Ken Jeong is slated to headline his own talk show.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Lionsgate’s Debmar-Mercury is developing the show with Jeong.
Debmar-Mercury co-presidents Mort Marcus and Ira Bernstein said in a joint statement obtained by EW, “Ken is one of a handful of people in the world who has what it takes to succeed as a talk show host and we are excited to be in business with him.”
“Audiences connect with Ken on many levels – not only because is he so talented, entertaining and unapologetically hilarious but their sense that he is sincere, compassionate, fearless, friendly, just genuinely nice – all essential ingredients that make for long-term success as a talk show host,” they went on.
“He is also a talent capable of conquering any time period with his mix of comedy, Hollywood celebrity friends, and ability to bring viewers,” they concluded.
Jeong is currently a judge on Fox’s “The Masked Singer” and known for his outlandish personality.

He starred in “The Hangover,” “Pineapple Express,” and the NBC cult-classic sitcom, “Community,” and has a diverse fan base.
Jeong even sat in as a college football game day commentator for ESPN to support Duke University, his alma mater.
Jeong is a licensed physician, but stopped practicing to focus on his acting career.
The details of Jeong’s talk show have yet to be released, but he is also slated to star in the highly anticipated “Community” movie, per IMDB. This silver screen adaptation was spawned as a joke in season two and took off on social media, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Jeong accredits “Community” for his acting skills. He told Newsweek in 2021, “If ‘The Hangover’ made me famous, ‘Community’ made me a better actor, and I really think I cut my teeth on that show.”
“Working with people like Donald Glover and Academy Award winner Jim Rash, and even tolerating Joel McHale! All those things really came into play,” he added.
He called the cast his family and noted that lead actor McHale is “one of my best friends.”
