Former Vice President Joe Biden (D) has repeatedly criticized President Donald Trump’s handling of the coronavirus outbreak and called on him to do more to handle the crisis.

However, counselor to the President Kellyanne Conway said on Wednesday that instead of criticizing Trump, Biden should be offering to help Trump manage the outbreak.

“I think it’s really disappointing to have President Obama’s number two — who apparently doesn’t talk much to him — out there criticizing instead of saying, ‘Hey, here’s what we did that we thought was effective,'” Conway said during an interview on Fox News’ “Fox & Friends.”

She continued, “Why doesn’t Vice President Biden call the White House today and offer some support? He’s in his bunker in Wilmington.”

“And I have to tell you, we’re not talking about politics here at the White House at all. We’re talking about ventilators and vaccines, not Biden and Bernie,” she added.

Although Conway went on to suggest that even if Biden did call to offer his support, he would not have too much to offer.

“I guess I would ask Vice President Biden why he can’t call and lend a hand. Doesn’t he think he would actually do better by calling here and trying to help? But, really, what would he say? What would he have to say?”

During an interview on CNN on Tuesday, Biden called for Trump to appoint an official to help manage the coronavirus outbreak, as IJR has previously reported.

He has also delivered remarks in which he criticized Trump’s response to the virus, and laid out how he would handle the outbreak as president.

However, it is unclear if Trump would want advice from Biden. During a press conference on March 22, Trump said he had not sought advice from past presidents on managing the outbreak in the country.

He said, “I don’t think I’m going to learn much, and, you know, I guess you could say that there’s probably a natural inclination not to call.”
