A quiet neighborhood along Florida’s Gulf Coast became the scene of a deadly investigation Tuesday after authorities discovered multiple bodies inside a home.
According to Fox News, the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that deputies responded to reports of gunfire in the 4820 block of Fallcrest Circle, located within the gated Amberlea subdivision in Sarasota.
When law enforcement arrived, they found multiple people dead inside the residence.
Officials have not yet identified any of the victims.
According to WWSB, no survivors were located at the scene.
The sheriff’s office described the incident as isolated and said there is no ongoing threat to the public. A heavy law enforcement presence remained in the area as investigators processed the home and gathered evidence.
Authorities have not announced any arrests, and no information about possible suspects has been released.
It remains unclear what led to the shooting.
Amberlea is a gated residential community in Sarasota, a city situated along Southwest Florida’s Gulf Coast. Sarasota sits on Sarasota Bay, which connects to the Gulf of America.
The city is approximately a 90-minute drive south of Tampa and about 2.5 hours from Orlando.
