Dem Congresswoman to File Articles of Impeachment Against RFK Jr

WASHINGTON, DC - SEPTEMBER 22: U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., joined by President Donald Trump (L), delivers an announcement on “significant medical and scientific findings for America’s children” in the Roosevelt Room of the White House on September 22, 2025 in Washington, DC. Federal health officials suggested a link between the use of acetaminophen during pregnancy as a risk for autism, although many health agencies have noted inconclusive results in the research. A Democratic congresswoman from Michigan announced her intention introduce articles of impeachment against Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

“Health care chaos. Reckless cuts. Rising costs,” Rep. Haley Stevens (D-Mich.) wrote on X Thursday. “Michiganders and families across the country are paying the price for RFK Jr.’s agenda.”

“Enough is enough, which is why I’m drafting articles of impeachment against @SecKennedy,” she added.

This is not the first time Stevens has sought Kennedy’s removal as health secretary, The Hill reported.

Stevens called for Kennedy’s resignation earlier this month.

Her reasons included the cuts to medical research for pediatric cancer and vaccines.

“Michiganders are tired of politicians who chase attention and ignore real problems. I’ve seen enough chaos from this administration and from Secretary Kennedy,” Stevens said Sept. 15.

“He’s making Michiganders unhealthy and unsafe. He needs to resign now. It’s time for leaders who fight for science, for health, and for the people, not those who undermine the progress our families and researchers work so hard to achieve.”

Her latest move comes shortly after President Donald Trump and Kennedy recommended changes in childhood vaccination schedules and told pregnant women not to take Tylenol because it could lead to autism for the child, they said.

Democrats are not the only ones questioning Kennedy’s policies as well as the Trump administration.

One lawmaker told The Hill Republicans are “starting to break ranks” over it.
