Comedian Tim Dillon impersonated first lady Melania Trump on “The Tim Dillon Show” Saturday while ridiculing a White House technology event featuring a humanoid robot.

The first lady spoke on Wednesday at the Fostering the Future Together Global Coalition Summit, during which the robot stiffly walked down the hall with her as she entered the East Room to address 45 nations and 28 technology companies. Dillon mocked the first lady’s remarks at the event during his show while putting on an accent.

WATCH:

“Imagine the robot, humanoid robot with all of the knowledge, philosophies and all of the knowledge and music and art and history and Plato comes to your home every day and teaches your children in the living room,” Dillon said, using the accent. “And Plato is there with your children. And Plato will adapt to your children and their behavior and Plato will sit them down and they’ll tell them when they are being antisemitic. And Plato has no tolerance.”

“Imagine a humanoid robot, Plato, who has no tolerance for bad behavior or any type of antisemitism. Don’t criticize what the government does,” he continued. “Imagine a humanoid robot named Plato who comes to your home every day and tells you the government loves you. He tells your children that the government loves them.”

The first lady did not appear to bring up antisemitism or related issues during her remarks, based on a transcript review. Dillon then played more of her comments, in which she said children would have “a more well-rounded lifestyle” due to the robot.

“How is this a more well-rounded lifestyle? How is having a robot teach you things more well-rounded than having a human being do it? No one’s explained that,” the comedian said. “How is having a humanoid robot teaching your children, freeing them up to have a more well-rounded lifestyle?”

Should technology be used to teach children instead of human teachers?

He then continued to impersonate the first lady.

“And the robot will teach your children and it’ll give them time to be free and to model and to have a well-rounded lifestyle and to play tennis in Palm Beach,” he said in the accent before playing more of her remarks.

The comedian suggested the first lady’s focus did not align with what voters wanted when electing the president.

“Alright, Melania Trump, everyone, saying that a humanoid robot named Plato will soon be at your house teaching your children. So if you voted for that, you’re very excited if that’s what you wanted,” he said. “Again, if that was something that you wanted, a robot at your house teaching your children, then that’s pretty cool, I guess.”

American Federation of Teachers (AFT) President Randi Weingarten also criticized the event at Thursday’s inaugural Workers First AI Summit, according to CNBC.

“What she did yesterday was every parent’s nightmare,” Weingarten said.

“This is exactly what Big Tech wants to create: a sense of a society that is being led by and taught by robots, displacing every bit of all of who we are, starting with education,” she said.

Participating technology companies for the event included OpenAI, Microsoft, xAI, Meta, Palantir, Adobe, Google and Zoom Communications, according to the White House.
