'Coward': Dick Cheney Torched After Laying Into Trump in Ad for Daughter Liz

Former Vice President Dick Cheney is coming under fire after he appeared in a new advertisement for his daughter, who has made headlines recently.

In a new ad for his daughter Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.), the former vice president took a swipe at former President Donald Trump.

Dick Cheney started out the video, “In our nation’s 246-year history, there has never been an individual who is a greater threat to our Republic than Donald Trump.”

“He is a coward. A real man wouldn’t lie to his supporters,” the former vice president said. “He lost his election and he lost big. I know it, he knows it and deep down I think most Republicans know it.”

He continued, “Lynne and I are so proud of Liz for standing up for the truth, doing what is right, honoring her oath to the Constitution when so many in our own party are too scared to do so.”

In case you missed it:

“This is nothing more than a job application for CNN or MSNBC,” a former senior advisor to Trump, Jason Miller, wrote on Twitter.

A former White House aide under the Trump administration also tweeted, “Imagine being so desperate that you have to call on daddy to come defend you.”

Dick Cheney was also labeled a “coward” for his remarks.

However, Dick Cheney did receive some support as well on Twitter:

Despite his criticism of Trump, Dick Cheney said in 2016 that he would support Trump for president.

Liz Cheney was trailing her primary challenger, Harriet Hageman, by 22% in a poll conducted in July.

Hageman, who is endorsed by Trump, unleashed after headlines swirled about Cheney’s endorsement from actor Kevin Costner.

Costner was seen wearing an “I’m for Liz Cheney” t-shirt, to which the lawmaker responded, “Real men put country over party.”

In 2019, Costner endorsed Pete Buttigieg, as CNN reported, and then endorsed Joe Biden.

Check it out below:

Hageman told the U.K. Daily Mail, “‘Yellowstone’ is a good show, but Kevin Costner is a pretend rancher in a Hollywood production shot mostly in Montana, not Wyoming.”

She added, “And I’d bet that if he had to work a real ranch for a day, he’d call his agent to get him out of there.”

Hageman also said, “I’ll take the support of the people of Wyoming any day of the week over a liberal actor who voted for Joe Biden.”
