Singer Dolly Parton responded to a rumor that she is selling Keto CBD gummies.
On Wednesday, Parton’s team addressed the rumor in a post shared on her Twitter page.
“Dolly Parton is not affiliated with, has not endorsed, and is not associated with any keto or CBD gummy product. She’s more the cake, cookie, and cornbread type. Team Dolly,” the post read.
Snopes wrote on their fact-checking website that in December 2022, they were asked by their readers about ads seen on Facebook featuring Parton, titled “Allegation Against Dolly Parton Have Been Confirmed”

“The ads, which mentioned Parton by name and featured pictures of her, led to articles that claimed she had endorsed CBD gummies that could ‘reverse dementia,’” according to Snopes.
However, they confirmed the “allegation” was false and that scammers had used Parton’s likeness and image without her permission.
They also created a fake Fox News article about the endorsement, claiming Fox News host Martha MacCallum was “outraged” over the CBD gummies and filed a lawsuit against Parton for “violating her contract and ‘scaring-off’ sponsors.”

In January 2022, Parton teamed up with Duncan Hines to create two lines of limited edition cake mixes. Flavors included Dolly Parton’s Southern Style Coconut Flavored Cake Mix and Dolly Parton’s Southern Style Banana Flavored Cake Mix.
“I have always loved to cook and, growing up in the South, I especially love that authentic Mom and Pop kind of cooking,” she said in a statement. “I am excited to launch my own line of cake mixes and frostings with Duncan Hines, bringing that sweet, Southern-style baking experience I enjoy to others.”
