M23 Rebels impose Ebola travel restrictions near Goma

In the DR Congo, AFC/M23 rebels operating in Goma and surrounding areas imposed one-month movement restrictions and routes on shared taxis and some boats to curb Ebola spread, citing concerns about government-infiltrated infections as cases of Bundibugyo Ebola rise to over 5,000 with thousands of deaths. Separately, Madagascar announced a 21-day entry ban and mandatory quarantine for foreign nationals from Ebola-affected countries, aiming to prevent the virus's introduction while monitoring travelers.
