About pound cake

El pastel de libra es un tipo de pastel tradicionalmente hecho con una libra de cada uno de cuatro ingredientes: harina, mantequilla, huevos y azúcar. Los pasteles de libra se hornean generalmente en un molde de pan o en un molde Bundt. A veces se sirven espolvoreados con azúcar glas, ligeramente glaseados con jarabe, con una capa de glaseado o con crema batida y fruta.
