Actress Eva Mendes is opening up about the importance of family.
While celebrating her latest partnership with Skura Style as co-owner, Mendes spoke to People on Tuesday about where she calls home.
“My man and my kids. Wherever they are, that’s just what it is,” she said.
Mendes spoke to Forbes in June about her new partnership with the kitchen cleaning brand.
“During the pandemic, I was like a lot of people, cleaning obsessively. I’m not a clean freak by any means but I love having a clean house, and especially a clean kitchen and a clean sink. I feel like it’s part of mental wellness for me. I was going through so many sponges and so many cleaning products and I basically found through a friend Skura Style sponges, and I instantly loved it,” she said.
Mendez who has not acted since 2014 told “The View” in May that she will only be taking roles that are family-friendly, People reports.
“I have such a short list of what I will do. Like before kids, I kind of was up for anything — I mean, if it was a fun project. But now I won’t do violence, I don’t want to do sexuality, I don’t want to do… the list is short,” she said.
Mendez, who shares two daughters with actor Ryan Gosling, went on to say that the next movie project she takes “has to be nice and clean.”
In May, Mendes spoke to “Today” about the joys of motherhood.
“I’m an actress, I’ve designed clothes, I’ve done a number of different things. But this is the most creative thing, is to create life with them,” she said.
She also opened up about making the decision to stay home with her children.
“My mom was able to be there for me at home until I was about 8 or 9 and those memories for me, that just formed who I was, those years with her,” she said.
When asked what she misses about acting, Mendes admitted, “I don’t think I’ve missed anything.”
