The radical Islamic terrorist group Hamas urged Iran to stop attacking its neighbor in the Persian Gulf in a Saturday statement.
Iran responded to the U.S. military’s Operation Epic Fury by firing hundreds of ballistic missiles and drones at targets in Israel, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia. The seemingly indiscriminate retaliation prompted the terrorist group, which has been backed by the Iranian regime, to express “deep concern” about the conflict in its first such appeal to the regime.

Should Iran cease its attacks on neighboring countries as urged by Hamas?
“The Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, is following with deep concern the war unfolding in the region. The movement once again strongly condemns the American–Zionist aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran, which violates the rules of international law and international humanitarian law and threatens security and stability in the region and the world,” the radical Islamic terrorist group’s statement reportedly reads. “The movement affirms that the interest of the Islamic nation and the region lies in stopping this war. It calls on all states and international organizations to work immediately to halt it.”
“Hamas also expresses its appreciation for the efforts made by various countries to prevent the outbreak of war and to prioritize the language of dialogue and diplomacy,” the statement continued. “While the movement affirms the right of the Islamic Republic of Iran to respond to this aggression by all available means in accordance with international norms and laws, it calls on its brothers in Iran not to target neighboring countries. It also calls on all countries in the region to cooperate to stop this aggression and preserve the bonds of brotherhood among them.”
President Donald Trump announced Operation Epic Fury on Truth Social on Feb. 28, citing concerns of Iranian retaliation against American bases after diplomatic talks over Iran’s nuclear program stalled.
Steve Witkoff, President Trump’s Middle East envoy, said in a March 2 interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity that Iranian diplomats declared the regime would keep enriching uranium and claimed to already possess enough material for nearly a dozen weapons.
