A Fox News camera crew was forced to take cover live on-air as Iran launched counter strikes against Israel on Friday.

Iran retaliated against Israel on Friday by launching dozens of ballistic missiles that hit Tel Aviv and other areas. In Tel Aviv, Fox News chief foreign correspondent Trey Yingst and his crew had to pick up their gear and rush into safety as the missiles were visibly being launched into the city.

“There’s just a massive amount of fire coming to Tel Aviv right now,” Yingst said. “Get ready to pull off the sticks. Get off the sticks. Let’s go. Time to go. Okay, guys, come on, everyone move. Everyone move, now. Stay with us, stay with us. Pick up the gear, let’s move, now.” (RELATED: Inside The Clandestine Israeli Operation To Kneecap Iran)

The Israeli Foreign Ministry said in a statement on X that millions of Israelis rushed into shelters as Iran launched ballistic missiles into major population centers.

“Millions of Israelis rushed into shelters as ballistic missiles from Iran targeted major population centers. We will take every measure necessary to protect the people of Israel,” the foreign ministry said.

Iran retaliated against Israel’s large-scale attack, which occurred on Friday morning local time and targeted military sites, nuclear facilities and senior military leaders, including top Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) commander-in-chief Hossein Salami, who was killed in the strikes. Salami, a U.S.-designated terrorist, warned Israel hours before his death that Iran would retaliate if they decided to launch attacks.

Israel’s attack on the nuclear facilities aimed to hurt the Iranian regime’s ambitions to potentially obtain nuclear weapons, according to CNN.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio said in a statement on Thursday that the U.S. has no involvement in the attacks and that President Donald Trump’s administration is prioritizing the safety of American forces in the region.
